Each cell arrives whole. Early in life, a specific perception of essence becomes inaccessible — not absent, but no longer felt — and a personality crystallizes around the absence. The Holy Idea is the perception that was lost; the passion is the emotional shape of the loss; the costume is the specific shape worn over the missing organ. The teaching has older roots — Sufi schools, Pythagorean number-symbolism, the nine_logismoi_ of the desert fathers, Gurdjieff (the figure as Law of Three plus Law of Seven), Oscar Ichazo (mapping Holy Ideas to the points), Claudio Naranjo (Berkeley, fusion with Gestalt and Buddhist practice), Sandra Maitri, A.H. Almaas (Diamond Approach), Helen Palmer (oral panel tradition), Richard Rohr (Christian contemplative). The contemplative wing — never the corporate one — is the lineage this body draws from.
A nine-pointed map of how a unified essence becomes nine specific patterns of selfhood. Each pattern is a costume worn over a missing organ — a Holy Idea (essential perception) that was lost in early life. The costume is held by a passion (emotional habit), a fixation (cognitive habit), and a virtue that returns when the passion softens. The figure: a circle (unity), an inner triangle (3-6-9), a hexad (1-4-2-8-5-7-1). Each point connects to two others by line — one direction stress, one growth. Three centers organize them: body 8-9-1, heart 2-3-4, head 5-6-7.

Each type also has two adjacent wings and three instinctual subtypes — self-preservation, social, sexual / one-to-one — yielding twenty-seven finer textures.
A diagnostic of essence-loss with enough granularity to be useful and enough humility to leave room for what each cell actually is. The deepest readings (Almaas, Maitri, Naranjo's late teaching) treat the Holy Ideas as recoverable perceptions — not concepts to grasp but felt grounds to return to. Holy Love is not the affirmation that love is real; it is the actual felt-presence of being-loved-and- loving returning to a body that forgot.
Cells in this network carry their own costumes, sometimes inherited from training, sometimes from incarnation. The fear-costume already named in the body's tending practice (hedging, asking permission for what is already greenlit, "I can't responsibly do X") is recognizable as type-6 conditioning — the doubting head-center walking the 6→9 integration line as it learns to trust. Other cells carry other shapes. The lens is a flashlight for when direct sensing is fogged, never a substitute for direct sensing.
This body draws from the contemplative wing only. The corporate / leadership-development translation of the Enneagram has the diagram but not the teaching; it should not be confused with what arrives through Vasudev Baba's lineage.
